Here are some of the commonly asked questions you may have about whether LifeHQ is right for you. If you don’t see your question listed here, feel free to email me directly at support@mikeschmitz.com.

  • LifeHQ is a one-time cost of $297. This includes lifetime access to the reference vault, the blank vault, and all resource files (templates, course materials, etc.). This also includes free updates for the life of the product.

  • Immediately after your purchase you'll get links to download both the full LifeHQ reference vault with all of the lessons and sample data as well as a blank version you can use to build your own PKM system off of. I recommend you start with the reference vault and complete the onboarding before diving in and making changes.

    In the reference version of the vault, you'll also get how-tos with detailed screenshots that show you exactly how to use each workflow, as well as a full values-based productivity curriculum and my own personal examples to help you connect everything back to your personal vision & values.

    You’ll also get access to a couple of related video courses, including Obsidian 101 ($97), The Creativity Flywheel Course ($97), and Practical PKM ($197).

  • No, the Practical PKM Cohort is a separate purchase. But a lot of the concepts that I teach in that cohort are detailed in the instructional materials and courses included with LifeHQ, so if you prefer to do-it-yourself then this may be all you’ll ever need.

  • A lot of the workflows are actually pretty advanced, but since everything is pre-configured for you, you don't have to be an expert in order to start using them. And if you're an advanced user, you'll still benefit from the process of dialing in your PKM Stack & Creativity Flywheel frameworks, as well as the values-based productivity workflows that are built into LifeHQ.

    If you are a more advanced user who likes to tinker on your own, the Do It Yourself option is probably all you'll need. If you would like some additional assistance, the Do It Together option will give you the support you need to make LifeHQ your own.

  • I've written detailed how-tos for every one of the workflows included in LifeHQ. I provide links to all of the plugins required and explain how I've crafted all of the queries and code blocks. Once you have those added to your current Obsidian vault, you just need to copy the specific settings I've pre-configured for you from the LifeHQ vault.

  • Honestly, probably not. Obsidian is just not as useful on a mobile device in my opinion. Even though there is technically feature parity between the desktop and mobile versions, the plugins will act different and the workflows won't be the same. Since I can't offer refunds on this product, you should probably steer clear if you don't use Obsidian on a computer.

  • While there's a lot of general productivity and creativity advice to be gleaned here, none of the workflows will work in other apps. Therefore, I don't recommend you buy LifeHQ if you don't use (or want to use) Obsidian as the hub of your PKM system.

  • Absolutely! The values-based productivity system that LifeHQ is built on can be used by anyone to create motivation to consistently take action on the things that are important and clarity to cut the things that aren't.

    That being said, I actually believe that everyone is creative and that a fundamental aspect of PKM is making something new out of the information that you capture, curate, cultivate, and connect. This product is designed to help you make sense of things so you can do more of what matters.

  • You get complete access to the master LifeHQ vault right after purchase, so unfortunately there are no refunds for this product.
